Why did my external connection fail?

At vault.Bank, we take your security seriously. We have a straightforward process to help keep your identity and funds protected. We use a report card system that rates each value from 0 to 100. If any of your scores are low, your connection or transfer may not go through.

Curious about the indicators we use for scoring? Here they are:

  • Legal Name: This is the name linked to your Vault.Bank account when it was created.
  • Phone: This is the phone number associated with your Vault.Bank account at the time of creation.
  • Email: This is the email address that was used when you set up your Vault.Bank account.
  • Address: This is the home address linked to your Vault.Bank account when it was created.

(Please be advised that some institutions include the user's name in the address line, which may result in a connection failure due to a mismatch with the Vault.Bank address on record.)

Please note that this information is also used to verify the external account you want to link and transfer funds from. Any discrepancies could lead to a failure in the process.

If you have a joint account with your spouse or partner and try to link it to your personal account, the connection is likely to fail due to the differing names on the external account. For a successful connection and transfer, the information on your external account must match your Vault.Bank account precisely.
