My card has been swallowed by an ATM

If your card gets stuck in an ATM, it's a good idea to lock it to avoid any unwanted transactions.

You can do this easily in the Vault.Bank mobile app:

  • Go to 'Home' in the side menu
  • Select the Lock Card option

Make sure to reach out to the ATM provider for guidance on how to get your card back. You should find their contact information displayed on the machine.

If you attempted to withdraw money and your card was swallowed, and you notice a pending transaction, just hang tight—it should be returned automatically. You can check when it will be reversed in the 'Status' section of the payment. If the transaction goes through, you can select it from the transactions list and tap 'Get help' to request a chargeback.
